A Cultist Enjoys the Company of Hetaerae Continue Your Odyssey

Assassin's Creed Odyssey has 42 Cultist Locations. Killing All Cultists and thus bringing down the Cult will unlock The Cult Unmasked trophy or achievement. This guide shows where to find all Cultists.

You unlock the Cultists Menu in Sequence 3. By then you will already have killed two of them automatically through story progress. It's recommended that you finish the main story first (all 9 Sequences) and then go for the missing Cultists. That's because you can't kill some of them until after the story. You'd be too underleveled and there's also the Deimos Cultist which you can't defeat until the end of Story Sequence 9. A lot of Cultists are also tied to side quests as will be pointed out in the location guide below.

Finding Cultist Clues Explained

Normally, you'd have to kill a Cultist to get a Clue where to find the next one. You can view the Cultist Menu to see Clues on each one. They might say things like "help people around Delos", which means doing Side Quests in that area. Others will tell you to draw out Cultists via Conquest Battles in certain regions or go find their clues in caves, shipwrecks and other places. Finding the clues it not needed though, all they do is mark the location in-game but that's what this guide is for! You can go straight to the Cultist's location if you know where they are. So feel free to skip all the clues and just go straight to the locations below unless stated otherwise. The Cultists that are tied to Side Quests are the only exception, for them you have to play their quests first. The Cultists in the inner circle can only be revealed after killing all others in the branch. After killing 41 Cultists the Ghost of Kosmos Leader will be revealed.

We'll go through them in order of branches as seen in the Cultists in-game menu. From top left > bottom left > top right > bottom right.

Eyes of Kosmos Cultists (Left Branch, Top Row)

Elpenor: Automatic story kill, unmissable.

Sotera: She's inside the Fort of Megaris, usually walking around the docks or on the right side of the Fort. You can use your eagle to scan for her (she has a golden crown icon).

The Master: Unlocked during "A Life's Worth" Side Quest (Attika Region, must do all Sokrates side quests in the region until it pops up). Then he's standing around in the south of Attika Region, between the Fast Travel Point "Tower of Sounion" and the Silver Mountain. You can use your eagle to find him more easily.

Hermippos: Free Speech Side Quests (Attika Region, must do all side quests in the region until it pops up). You kill him during that quest.

Midas: In Argolis Region. You should have him unlocked as soon as you get the Cultist List and can track him from there.

Nyx the Shadow: She's standing around in the south-east of Attika city. You can use your eagle to look for her.

The Silver Vein Cultists (Left Branch, Middle Row)

Epiktetos the Forthcoming: Automatic story kill, unmissable.

The Chimera: On Andros Island, at the "Beach Encampment" location at the southern edge of the island. You should have her unlocked as soon as you get the Cultist List and can track her from there.

The Centaur of Euboea: On Euboea Island. You should have him unlocked as soon as you get the Cultist List and can track him from there.

The Silver Griffin: On the small island south-west of Mykonos, called "Prasonisia Island". Use your eagle to highlight this enemy, he's walking around the ruins.

Machaon the Feared:This one was the hardest for me to find because the clue is so well hidden. The Cultist is in Achaia Region (sub-district "Mount Panachaikos"). He walks around the harbor where the ship dock icon is on the map. However, because he's walking around he can be tricky to find as he's also indoors sometimes or climbs up scaffolds. You can start a fight to try to get his attention. Or you can go get the clue, which is hidden on a corpse that lays on a rock at the Underwater Location in Achaia, Scavenger's Coast. There are a bunch of shipwrecks with the corpse on one of the outer rocks as seen in the clue location below. The first 3 images are for the clue location, the last 3 for the cultist location.

Poleman the Wise:He's in Achaia in the main temple building of "Teichos of Herakles" fort.

Delian League Cultists (Left Branch, Bottom Row)

Brison: In Attika Region, in the enemy camp "Salamis Marble Quarry".

Podarkes the Cruel:You must first complete Side Quest "Trouble in Paradise" on the island Mykonos (next to Delos). This unlocks a follow-up quest "Hades, Meet Podarkes". You will have to kill Podarkes during that quest. He will be the nation leader marked by a purple icon and main objective of that quest. He's not available outside that quest! If you can't find the Trouble in Paradise starting quest you may already have it, check your quest log under World Quests.

Rhexenor the Hand: An Automatic Kill in Sequence 8, Main Quest "A-Musing Tale" (Public Opinion Chapter).

Iobates the Stoic: Found on Lemnos Island, in the "Desecrated Sanctuary" enemy location.

Kodros the Bull: Chip on Your Shoulder Side Quest (Chios Island Region). You kill him during that side quest.

Kleon the Everyman: An Automatic Kill in Sequence 8 at the very end of the sequence. No way to miss it.

Heroes of the Cult Cultists (Right Branch, Top Row)

Pallas the Silencer: He only spawns during the conquest battle in Achaia region. You must fight for Athens (blue flag). It doesn't matter if Athens is the invading or defending army but you must fight on their side. Pallas will spawn halfway through the conquest battle.

Deianeira: Automatic story kill, Sequence 7, Main Quest "The Fall of Deianeira".

Belos the Beast of Sparta: He's the second champ in the Pephka Arena. He's the level 29 champion. Go to the arena in Pephka, speak to the manager, and agree to fight Belos inside the Arena.

Swordfish: During Side Quest "Myths and Minotaurs" in Region 'Messara'. You meet him in an underwater cave during this quest and will automatically have to fight him.

Okytos the Great: At the very southern peak of Attika Region, in the enemy location "Temple of Poseidon". You should have him unlocked as soon as you get the Cultist List and can track him from there.

Exekias the Legend: He's in the Fort "Olouros Fortress" in Achaia Region. He's in the middle of the Fort. However, you can't confirm the kill until you've defeated the other cultists in his branch.

Worshippers of the Bloodline Cultists (Right Branch, Middle Row)

Melite: He's in Messara Region (big island in bottom right side of the map). He's inside a building of the marked enemy area "Kresilas's Residence" (question mark location on map).

Harpalos: On Keos Island.

Zoisme: She's in the Wild Bear Cave (Question Mark Location) in Malis Region, sub-region Bay of Xerxes.

Diona: "I, Diona" Side Quest (Kythera Island Region, do all quests for Diona here. She's the boss at the end of the questline).

Chrysis: Death Comes to Us All Side Quest (Argolis Region).

Iokaste the Seer: She's found inside the Fort "Anvatos Ruin" in the north of Chios Island, sub-region Hunted Forest of Artemis. She's at the top of the Fort, sitting next to a lion. She just looks like a normal enemy (doesn't have a golden crown on her if you haven't revealed her yet, just has a ton of health). You can kill her even if you haven't killed the other cultists in this branch yet.

Gods of the Aegean Sea Cultists (Right Branch, Bottom Row)

The Mytilenian Shark:He's on a ship that patrols between Samos island and Kos island (closer to Samos Island). The clue for this one is tricky to find, it's in the underwater location north of Thera, you must dive and recover it from a chest underwater (can use your eagle to mark the chest through the water). This is optional and not needed to find the Cultist, it just makes him easier to locate. The ship he's on has purple sails and a golden crown icon like other cultists have. His ship is called "The Mytilenian Shark", same as him. The first location screenshot shows the clue (optional), the second one the general area of the Cultist's ship (it's moving around a little but always in the same area).

Melanthos: He's on a ship that patrols west of Messara island (the big island in bottom right of map). The ships moves around a little but is always in the same general area. The ship is also called "Melanthos" (same as the cultist) and has a golden crown icon on it, so it's easy to differentiate from other ships.

The Octopus: He's on a pirate ship that crusades between the largest island on the bottom right corner of the map (Messara) and the island that is north of it (Thera). Usually it crusades with additional 2-3 pirate ships. They all have black flags. The ship is also called "The Octopus" and has a golden crown icon.

Sokos: You encounter him only during the conquest battle on Melos Island (Obsidian Islands). Bring down the nation power by burning war supplies, killing soldiers, and raiding the nation treasure on Melos. It doesn't matter if you side with Athens or Sparta for this conquest. Sokos will spawn on a ship during the sea conquest. His ship is also called "Sokos", has brown sails and a golden crown icon. For me it always restored its health just before destroying it, so what I did was to save up my fire arrows, ram it at half health and quickly shoot fire arrows to destroy it within 5 seconds. Otherwise it might refill health every time you get close to destroying it.

Asterion: He's on a ship between Skyros and Andros. He's unlocked by default when you get the Cultist list and can be tracked from there. The ship moves around a little but is always in the same general area. His ship is also called "Asterion" and has a golden crown icon on it.

The Hydra: He is found on a big ship with red sails, in the water in the bottom left corner of the map. The ship is also called "The Hydra" and has a golden crown icon. It's always in the same general area as seen in the location image below, but is moving around a bit. There are usually other ships near it. You can reveal and track The Hydra by killing the other 5 Cultists in the Gods of the Aegan Sea branch.

Peloponnesian League Cultists (Bottom Row)

Skylax the Fair:He's the leader on Euboea Island. However, his locations varies depending on the region's fortification status. If the region is fully fortified he'll be heavily guarded in the leader house. He can also be sitting the wilderness under a tent (screenshot #2 & #3). If the region is weakened, he will be alone walking through town (screenshot #4). You can unlock his location on the map by looting the nation treasure from the fort in Lokis Region. Better get the clue because this Cultist moves around a lot.

Monger: Automatic Story Kill, at end of Sequence 5, unmissable.

Lagos the Archon: You unlock him in Main Quest "To Kill or Not to Kill" in Story Sequence 7.

Kallias: He's part of the Olympic Questline in Sequence 7, in the sub-quest "The Long Game". You get the Olympic Questline automatically during Sequence 7, it's a main story chapter. Must play that questline to unlock him.

Silanos of Paros: An Automatic Story Kill in Sequence 7, unmissable.

Pausanias: An Automatic Story Kill in Sequence 7, Main Quest "A Bloody Feast".

Cultist Leader

Deimos: At end of Story, Sequence 9.

Cultist Leader (Ghost of Kosmos): The Cultist Leader in the Middle of the Ring is none other than Aspasia who you've met on multiple occasions during the story. After killing ALL other 41 cultists (not just her inner circle) you can track her and play her quest. It will lead you back to the temple of Apollo in Phokis, where you met the Oracle of Delphi. Then you can open the door to the temple and go down to the crypt where the Cult gathered in Story Sequence 3. There the final battle takes place.

Those were all 42 Cultists in AC Odyssey. As a reward for killing all Cultists you will unlock the "The Cult Unmasked" Trophy or Achievement and of course many legendary gear sets that they dropped along the way.
